Lavender Walk Ceremonies

The Lavender Walk is a long aisle of Indian stone running beneath a pergola covered in wisteria and roses, with lavender beds planted either side and a gazebo waiting at the end. These photos show why photographers love it: the leafy tunnel of the pergola, the gazebo dressed with greenery and flowers, and couples walking back through confetti with the whole aisle lined by their guests. Most were taken in summer, when the lavender is out and the scent follows you down the path.

Couples marry here under open sky, with the ceremony conducted by the Kent Registrars and booked by our team on your behalf. Fairy lights overhead carry the walk into the evening, and the Arboretum sits close by, so the celebration afterwards is a short stroll rather than a journey.
