Come December the whole of The BarnYard gets dressed: trees and thousands of lights in the Arboretum, the Apple Barn at its cosiest, and even the bar decked out for the season. These photos show the venue in full festive dress alongside the food, including the Christmas high tea with its scones, gingerbread and tiered stands stacked with sweet treats.
It is the busiest corner of our calendar. Shared party nights in the Arboretum bring a four course feast and a disco, the Apple Barn can be taken exclusively for private parties, and the restaurant serves festive lunches and high teas through the month, finishing with a Christmas Eve brunch. If any of it appeals, book early. The Saturdays are always the first dates to go.
