Our kitchen team cooks everything fresh on site, working with a seasonal menu that changes through the year so you are always eating produce at its best. No factory kitchens, no reheating, just real cooking by people who take pride in it.

We're a proper dog-friendly bunch (and we've welcomed the odd hamster too). The Courtyard is theirs to enjoy, the outdoor patio just in front of The Rooster, there are fresh water bowls at every door, and there's always a treat or two on hand. Pull up a table, four legs very much included.

We couldn't have wished for more attentive staff and absolutely beautiful, well-prepared food. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and you can tell every dish has been put together with real care.
Every time we visit, the food is great and they are so accommodating for dietary requirements. Nothing feels like an afterthought, they handle allergies and preferences with the same care as a wedding breakfast.
The food was excellent, especially the steak, it was cooked perfectly. Service was wonderful. A proper countryside lunch in a setting you don't want to leave.
I've been here twice over the past couple of weeks and these are the best meals I've enjoyed out in a long time. Impeccable food, high-quality ingredients, friendly and attentive staff. Will be back.
