We're a proper dog-friendly bunch (and we've welcomed the odd hamster too). The Courtyard is theirs to enjoy, the outdoor patio just in front of The Rooster, there are fresh water bowls at every door, and there's always a treat or two on hand. Pull up a table, four legs very much included.
Book a Dog-Friendly TableThis was our first visit to The Barnyard to celebrate our mother's birthday and it didn't disappoint! From the moment we arrived the staff were extremely friendly and attentive. The menu had lots of choice, so much so we could have ordered all of it, it was delicious! Another visit is a must, we can't wait to come back.
Absolutely outstanding from start to finish! The food was exceptional, beautifully presented, full of flavour, and clearly prepared with great care and attention to detail. The service was just as impressive. The staff were warm, friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome throughout our visit. It's rare to find a restaurant where every aspect of the experience is spot on, but The BarnYard certainly delivers. We couldn't fault a thing and will definitely be returning.
The Barnyard is our go-to place for breakfast! Local, lovely setting, excellent food, great service and happy staff. I could go on with only good things to say!
Food beautifully presented and scrumptious! Service perfect and attentive without being too much. We'll definitely be back, it's the kind of place you want to bring everyone you know.
Excellent spot off the beaten track. Lovely restaurant, service excellent, perfect breakfast. A genuine countryside escape only minutes from the motorway, very rare to find this kind of setting so accessible.
We couldn't have wished for more attentive staff and absolutely beautiful, well-prepared food. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and you can tell every dish has been put together with real care.
Every time we visit, the food is great and they are so accommodating for dietary requirements. Nothing feels like an afterthought, they handle allergies and preferences with the same care as a wedding breakfast.
The food was excellent, especially the steak, it was cooked perfectly. Service was wonderful. A proper countryside lunch in a setting you don't want to leave.
I've been here twice over the past couple of weeks and these are the best meals I've enjoyed out in a long time. Impeccable food, high-quality ingredients, friendly and attentive staff. Will be back.
I was so impressed with the way they prepared my food and how beautiful it looked. The chefs take real pride in what they send out and it shows on the plate.
