Spring

Mother's Day

The first big day of our year. Book her a proper Sunday lunch, with a roast done the way it should be, or keep things lighter with afternoon tea, warm scones and a glass of something sparkling. Arrive early and walk the orchards together, and for bigger family groups a private space in The Roost can be arranged so everyone sits down at one table. Mother's Day books out fast, so it pays to plan ahead.

Father's Day

However Dad likes his Sunday, there is a table for it. Our signature is a generous grazing board piled with sweet and savoury treats, brought out for everyone to dig into together. If he would rather the traditional route, there is a proper full English in the morning or a hearty roast with all the trimmings, cooked fresh on site. Big family tables are welcome, little ones included, and private spaces can be hired for larger gatherings.

Autumn

Halloween

October half term is made for a day out here. Wrap up warm, wander the apple and pear orchards, then pull up a chair for the Halloween High Tea. The kitchen loves a theme, so expect Screeching Sandwiches, a BOO Beef Slider, Ghostly Meringues and Spine-Chilling Scones finished with popping candy, with vegetarian and vegan options on the menu too. Stay as the light fades and you will catch the venue lit up after dark.

Festive Season

Christmas

The season the whole year builds towards. The glass Arboretum fills with fairy lights for shared party nights with a four course feast and a disco, the Apple Barn can be taken exclusively for a private party, and the restaurant serves festive high tea, Christmas lunch and a Christmas Eve brunch. New season dates are released in advance and the Saturdays always go first, so if December matters to your diary, enquire early.
