Courtyard Ceremonies
The CollectionWeddings
An open-air ceremony framed by the barns.in photographs
This collection shows open-air ceremonies in the Courtyard, the paved space framed on every side by our original timber barns. Couples dress it with foliage moongates, draped arches and potted olive trees, and because the buildings shelter it, the space stays calm even on a breezy Kent day. The photos run from bright morning set-ups through golden hour vows to the festoon and fairy lights coming on at dusk, with the Arboretum glowing beyond.
A Courtyard ceremony is conducted by the Kent Registrars, arranged by our team on your behalf. And because the Apple Barn opens straight onto the Courtyard, a covered plan B waits a few steps away if the forecast turns, with no cars and no scrambling. After the vows, drinks usually happen right where you married, the barns around you and the sky above.
